We visited two resorts in the region; Islantilla (2013) which has 27 holes and El Rompido (2010) which has two 18 hole courses.
In winter time the Heulva province is quiet (some might say dead) but there is still plenty to see and do, if you want to take a break from golf.
Both resorts serve good quality food and wine and the rooms are more than adequate.
For a short break either resort has something to offer, the courses being of good quality and easy walking.
Islantilla and El Rompido Golf Resorts
Easy walking course with a few changes in elevation add to the interest.
Being able to play different combinations each day made it more challenging.
Both courses are well designed and easy walking.
.
Playing golf nearby? Then a visit to Muelle de las Carabelas (Wharf of the Caravels) at Palos de la Frontera, might be the ticket.
A well designed museum both inside and out.
