Our review

We have played both courses; Royal St. Georges and Princes (many times).

Both courses are easy walking although can be a stern test of golf especially when the wind picks up.

Avoid the fairway bunkers and plot your way around the courses for the best results.

Golf courses

Royal St. Georges and Princes Golf Clubs with Royal Cinque Ports Golf Club just down the road.

Golf courses
Royal St Georges Golf Club
Features
  • Founded in 1887
  • 18 holes
  • 7204 yards (off Championship tees)
  • A British Open venue and first to hold it outside of Scotland
Our opinion

One of the great British links courses and a joy to play although a stern test of golf.

Without grandstands holes 1 and 18 might not be great but there are plenty of other holes to peak your interest.

Princes Golf Club
Features
  • Completed in 1906
  • 27 holes; Shore, Dunes and Himalayas
  • Shore - 3448 yards (off back tees)
  • Dunes - 3432 yards (off back tees)
  • Dunes - 3201 yards (off back tees)
  • Hosted the Open in 1932 and now Local Final Qualifying venue
Our opinion

Perhaps not as renowned as it's immediate neighbour (Royal St. Georges) but nonetheless a good test of golf.

Much improved over the last few years and on a nice day most enjoyable.
